Aboyne Rural Hospice is delighted to announce it received official approval from the Ontario Ministry of Health to build a new six-bed hospice. This significant milestone marks a new chapter in our ongoing commitment to providing compassionate end-of-life care to our rural Wellington County community. The Ministry of Health approval also includes allocated funding for the new hospice’s six-bed operating costs.
The approval allows us to offer compassionate end-of-life care to community members in a location and setting closer to home. The six-bed facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, ensuring our residents receive the highest comfort and support during their stay.
Although the ministry committed to six beds, our building will accommodate ten beds in anticipation of additional funding.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Ministry of Health for their confidence in our mission and our dedicated community supporters and volunteers who have worked tirelessly to make this vision a reality. With this new approval, Aboyne Rural Hospice is poised to enhance its role as a sanctuary of peace and care, enriching the lives of those we serve.
We look forward to the next steps in bringing this project to fruition and will continue to keep our community informed as we progress. Thank you for your ongoing support and trust in Aboyne Rural Hospice.
