Patients in Ontario have free access to hospice care, but the Ontario government provides modest financial support for the construction and operation of hospices. Community fundraising is crucial to build and support the Aboyne Rural Hopsice.

Testimonials

Although my mother wished to die at home, accommodating her request proved challenging. We were out of our depth in appreciating and fulfilling her needs and pain management, especially when the nurse left for the evening. A hospice would have provided a better experience for all of us.
