Volunteering at Aboyne Rural Hospice is a chance to be genuinely present for people in our community during life’s most tender moments — and to be part of something our whole community is building together. There are many ways to get involved as a volunteer in the early stages of the building of the Aboyne Rural Hospice. The volunteer roles will expand once the Aboyne Rural Hospice build is complete.

Aboyne Rural Hospice is actively promoting the new hospice build in our community and raising funds for the new build. Join as volunteer to assist in fundraising, organizing events and raising awareness for Aboyne Rural Hospice; there are several roles and opportunities available!
Volunteer applications for daily support roles at the new Aboyne Rural Hospice will open approximately 6 months prior to opening. Stay tuned and check back regularly for updates!
Some roles will require specific training, such as kitchen volunteers will require food handling training and certification and visiting/support volunteers will require the Hospice Palliative Care Ontario Volunteer Training Program. More information will follow.
